For the easy-going

Swimming

One of the easiest way for an all-over body workout and something that can be done in many places in the city. The Mediterranean Sea is one glorious option, our own infinity pool on The Norman’s rooftop, and Gordon Pool which is filled with fresh water directly from the sea, daily.

Biking

Bicycles are a great means of transportation in a small city like Tel Aviv. The Norman offers single gear bicycles for your use and our Concierge Team can offer information to help you decide your destination and route, either along the biking promenades dotted around the city, or along the Sea Promenade. There is also a brilliant public bike-hire scheme in Tel Aviv.

For the extreme sports lover

Climbing the stairs of the Azrieli Tower

It started as a bet between a few locals and has since developed into a rite of passage for some fitness fans. The super-fit can make it up the 1,144 stairs and 54 floors in seven minutes. Anyone up for the challenge?

Surfing

When the waves are high, like in September, surfers flock by the thousands to the beaches, and even though Tel Aviv may not be Maui, the country has produced some fine surfers, including Israel’s first Olympic gold medalist in windsurfing, Gal Friedman.  There are a number of surf schools located along the shore line, our concierge can help you navigate the options.
